Somewhere in the Blue is my first series of works on wood created in my new studio — a collection that feels, in many ways, like the beginning of a new chapter.

These small paintings grew slowly and intuitively, layer upon layer, guided by colour, memory and the changing moods of the landscape. There are suggestions of horizons, distant weather, water and light, but nothing is quite defined. They exist somewhere between a remembered place and an imagined one.

Blue has always found its way into my work. For me, it holds so many things at once — sea and sky, distance and longing, stillness and possibility. Somewhere in the Blue feels like a fitting name for these pieces: small windows into places that may not exist anywhere except in memory.

Each original work is painted on a 12 × 12 inch wood panel and presented in a white St. Ives-style frame, bringing the finished size to 19×19 inches. They are $650 each and are designed to work beautifully alone or collected together. A 10% discount is offered when purchasing two.
